Husbands Love Your Wives

In Ephesians 5:22-25, the apostle Paul tells us, “Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord… Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” If we look at the Lord’s commands to both husbands and wives, we see the key ingredients for a blessed and God-pleasing marriage.

Maybe you feel like this effort has become one sided. You feel you give considerably more than you receive in return. You don’t feel like the treasure that you know you are. Maybe you feel alone.

God treasures you -You are not alone.

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ~ Isaiah 41:10.

Even when we know God is with us, sometimes we need that extra aid of a person to listen and understand.

Do you find that you are struggling in your marriage, with a desire for a better relationship? Does your husband appear unconcerned about the health of your marriage, or maybe he seems emotionally unattached. If he is unresponsive to your needs and requests for help, he may not understand what you need. Help is available. If you feel you have tried everything within your power to make things better and nothing changes, it is time to get help. It is possible to find a level of peace, even in an unbalanced marriage.

The world will tell you that divorce is the answer, but God may desire something more for you.

As a Christian counselor, I can give you the emotional and spiritual support that you need. Let His counsel assist you in lifting your spirits, bringing balance to your life, and increasing contentment in your marriage.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” ~ Romans 15:13
